[NMLUG] How to restore rsync backup?

Thanks to everyone who's helping.

I've now installed grub on the new drive, but realized I never backed
up /boot on my original system. Luckily, I do backup the output of "ls
-laR /" nightly, and it tells me what files /boot should have.

Judging from the below, I just need the /boot directory from a default
RH7.3 install. Where can I get this? Can anyone send me a copy?

/boot:

To answer some of the other questions:

% I actually backup using "rsync -pgDxvvtrlo" as root, so my symlinks
 are fine.

% The drive spins up, but makes a clicking sound after doing so. I've
heard data recovery is expensive, even more so when there's a
 hardware issue.

% I think grub is smart enough to understand ext3fs (no?), and will
actually recognize /boot/vmlinuz once I actually get this file.

% My customizations extend to libraries and binaries, so restoring
 the data is sadly insufficient.
