[NMLUG] Cheap power supply replacement in town?

And your level of expertise with computer hardware? How did you determine
the power supply bit the dust? The problem is the power supply may have died
because another internal computer component took it out. This is probably
the best reason to let a pro do the repair, conversely if you knew someone
who can help you do the swap? ATX power supplies are around $18 from Allied
Semiconductor in Texas, unfortunately they are whole sale only, but this
gives you an idea how much the shop is paying.
I am in Vegas and I charge $29.00 for the power supply and $45 per hour,
sometimes we get lucky and it takes ten minutes.
