Apologies if this is inappropriate content, but I hope it's OK:
For the first time in many years, I find myself without a job.
If you know of an opening for a highly-qualified functional (QA) test
automation specialist in Ruby and/or Perl, please let me know. I have
more than 10 years experience in a wide variety of business
environments (telecom, stocks, health care, marketing), as well as
experience working in Agile environments as a consultant with
Thoughtworks.
I'm based in Durango CO, so I would be looking for some sort of
partial-telecommute arrangement. I have been telecommuting between
Durango and California successfully for a year, so I have experience
at doing it well.
In the short term, if you or your organization would like:
customized, personal training in Watir, based on Bret Pettichord's
"Scripting for Testers" class that I taught at STAREAST, STARWEST, and
Agile2006,
or training in fundamental principles of functional test automation in
Ruby and/or Perl, based on a curriculum I have had in development for
some time,
or a start on a quick, effective test automation suite for Web
Services in Ruby, either SOAP or REST,
or any other short term project involving test automation or basic
training in Ruby or possibly Perl
please let me know off the list.
Thanks,
Chris
