[NMLUG] Asus M2V not for Linux

What happens with a low battery?
I am in the process of acquiring a new computer, because
my old one won't boot.
It won't make it through the bios to even try.
Could the battery do this?
Is my BIOS fried?  (I can't get support on the old m-board)
