[NMLUG] Help Wanted: Linux Integration Specialist

Greetings,
We're looking for someone that can troubleshoot a linux box called a DSU
(data storage unit). Basically it's a computer that records 'aircraft
events' to a 5GB flash drive. The unit is currently having a problem closing
files during an aircraft power down. Having a really tightly compiled kernel
with a small build is ideal since the box needs to shutdown within seconds.
Programmers/Integrators with BIOS experience are a huge PLUS.
Here's the link:

If the link doesn't work, go to www.eclipseaviation.com -> click Career
Oportunities -> search for avionics jobs (Linux Integration Specialist).
I don't want to give too many specific about the box due to my NDA, but it
currently has Fedora's latest build, that's having ACPI problems, so moving
to another build is doable. The DSU has no keyboard, monitor or mouse and is
essentially controlled by inserting flashdrives with special instruction
files. The flashdrive allows the maintainer to download data & upload MP3s
to the entertainment system (another linus box... I believe). Eventually,
all aircraft software will be uploaded through this port.
It's a pretty interesting project advertised as a 1 to 4 week stint. If it's
anything like I expect, it's not something you'd do on the side (unless 8-12
hours/day is a side job).
Note: The DSU isn't what commonly known as a 'Black Box' (aircraft with PAX
> x require them, we only seat 5 to 6).
As usual, submitting your resume directly to the website is one way of
applying as is submitting your resume to my work email address.

Thank you
