[NMLUG] Why so many Linux distros?

Hello Steve
I hope you don't believe this: Another interesting feature of the huge
ethanol industry is that ethanol
product results in a net increase in emissions. It takes about 1.3
gallons of petroleum fuels to produce one gallon of ethanol, and
billions of taxpayer dollars. (http://www.enn.com/today.html?id=3D8260)
This is negative propaganda from people who don't want to believe we have a
future outside of big oil.
Sure if we continue to dump petroleum based fertilizer on corn crops to
boost production of Monsanto <http://www.monsanto.com/monsanto/layout/> seed
stock then the cycle is out of balance. The whole point of ethanol is to not
use petroleum.
Biomass can be grown without the use of petroleum products. This fact is
being kept from us. Monsanto has a vested interest in petroleum based
fertilizer. They grow genetically Modified plants that need much more
petroleum based fertilizer to grow. I know, it sounds like a conspiracy.
Check it out for yourself. Talk about a balance.
Brian Rodgers

By the way, this PC is Mepis, my file server is Slackware, I wish I knew as
much about Linux as I do about alternate fuels.
