[NMLUG] hard drive replacement how to,

That's self-explanatory. Make sure the unit is unplugged from power.
The hardest part is usually opening the computer case; recent cases
have slide-out panels but the older ones were all of one piece.

Once you can reach the old HD, remove the Molex power connector -  you
may need needle-nose pliers to wiggle it loose - and the ribbon cable
(pulls off) and possibly a CD connector. There are four to six
Phillips head screws holding the drive in place; remove them. PRESTO!
