There's a similar thread now on a redhat list: what is a minimal OS
install? Everyone agrees the default isn't even close, and some things
are obvious fluff, but it rapidly gets contentious about what
constitutes 'minimal'.
I think it has to be situation/personality - specific in the end. You
go in and deselect everything you think you can or want to try to do
without, and hope it will at least boot for you!
