[NMLUG] Lightweight Distro for Ripping Cd's

I have about 8 P2-400 machines that I would like to fire up to rip my CD
collection. I'm not bright enough to figure out how to command line rip CD's
to mp3 and how to populate the ID3 tag from CDDB (or other source). I'm
thinking that a SimplyMepis or Ubuntu might work but not sure if there is
something out there that will run nicely on these old boxes.
Ideally I would like to figure out how to do the entire ripping process from
command line. Everything from system automatically detects an inserted CD,
rips and encodes it with ID3 tag info, then ejects it.
Anybody know of any links?
Thanks!
