[NMLUG] Re: Did SWCP buyout Thuntek?
Thanks for the reply, James.
I was there yesterday, and got the lowdown...:-) I was actually quite
pleased when I was there, because I saw a reduction in my yearly
subscription rate, and so renewed for another year of shell account.
Additionally, I now have double the amount of website space for my
cheesy family website. And then there is the added benefit of keeping
my ISP sub fees local. Heaven knows, all the local proprietors need
infusions of cash much more than do huge multinationals who are
anonymous and often times quite unresponsive. I *like* the fact that
there is someone I recognize at the end of the phone line if I ever
have needs, and there's nothing like being able to walk into an
office and interface with a live human. Which reminds me of an
additional benefit with this local consolidation: the tech support
hours are also increased with this new combined offering from SWCP.
All in all, I think I'm going to be even happier with this new
consolidated offering. Not that I ever had anything but the best to
say about Thuntek. May it rest in peace.
Once again, thanks for the reply!
