| There is a web-based config for the actiontec.
|
| I refuse to load the various config programs on my work laptop (WinXP).
| If I did, I'd have around 42 of them.

...The actiontec, which by the way, runs linux. Telnet in from the LAN
site with admin/admin and you'll see. I don't think they've released
all the stuff they're supposed to, though...IOW, unlike the OpenWRT kit,
these actiontecs don't have official docs on how to modify and/or
compile binaries (for say, traffic shaping) for it. I'm sure it can be
figured out, but I didn't bother. I just run mine as a transparent
bridge to my linux router and have been pretty happy with it overall. ;-)
If we're gonna plug our DSL ISPs, I guess I feel obligated to mention
tularosa.net. The guys over there really know what they're doing and
I'm very happy with them. :-) When you sign up for DSL with Qwest,
they phrase their stuff to attempt to make you think you *have* to go
with MSN...You don't. By law, they are required to allow you to go with
the ISP of your choice.
