Perhaps it's not the contents he wants to duplicate but just the 
configuration. It would be very nice to easily clone a drive, 
including the swap partition configuration, all in one step.

Plus, if one works on many different OSs and filesystems, learning 
one tool to do them all would definitely be very efficient.
