[NMLUG] NASA World Wind 1.3 released - only on W2K/XP platform!

I'm not snipping your entire discourse. However, the point here is
that NASA's World Wind is an incredible door to 3D imagery of the
entire Earth. There are other terrain map Web sites popping up -
Google just introduced one, but it only covers major cities. World
Wind covers everything! Of course, I don't know how they reconcile
this with National Security, nor do I quite understand how this is
Open Source software, but for Windows.
I thought someone on this list might be interested in querying NASA
about contributing to a Linux version. No hidden motives or axes
(GNU-Linux) to grind.
