Thoughts:
% "rmmod scsi_mod; insmod scsi_mod" [you may have to
remove/re-insert other modules that depend on scsi_mod, too]
% echo "scsi add-single-device a b c d" > /proc/scsi/scsi (see
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/SCSI-Programming-HOWTO-4.html for details).
The 1st one works for me [but I usually have to rmmod/insmod more stuff
before it'll let me rmmod/insmod scsi_mod]-- I've never gotten the 2nd to
work, but have used "scsi remove-single-device" successfully before.
