[NMLUG] 64-bit SuSE

I got a little farther.
The DVD is ATA, but the HDD is SATA.
We hacked on the BIOS for a while, and got it past
asking for the driver floppy. I dunno what we did
different, but it seems to get past that point now.

Now yast is complaining that there is something wrong
with the DVD image, it lists NO packages, and refuses to continue.

I haven't hacked on the mini install yet, but so far
it did not detect our network, and will not allow FTP install.
Even if it did configure the NIC properly, it will be tricky
since we use proxies behind a firewall.

Again, we are happy to pay some 3-figure sum to SuSE for
a little install and upgrade support, its just a pain
to get such payments authorized. What service should we get?
I see very little value in those boxed sets for me.
With the Intel 64-bit SMP, we might need to be burning some
disks and building kernels anyway. Install support could be
of good value to us though.

Thanx for any more hints...
