[NMLUG] SF Reporter

Unfortunately, I haven't heard any rumors for any expansion. Comcast
is rather expensive and they seem to be reveling in working their
cash-cow as hard as they can. Qwest doesn't necessarily have much
incentive to upgrade their system because of the way the courts are
dealing with them.

For the forseeable future, Satellite seems to be the only viable
alternative for the region just north of Santa Fe.

The state of the Internet just OUTSIDE of Santa Fe is just as bad as
ever. No cable. No DSL. Does anybody know if there are plans for a
high-speed wi-fi network, specifically just north of Santa Fe?

Thanks,
Steve
