[NMLUG] 64-bit SuSE

I'm in need of a 64-bit capable SuSE install.
This is a new dual processor machine, with large memory, so
I'm OK with building a new kernel, but we need an install
that gets up and running (somewhat) before we can build that kernel.

The free SuSE disk I got from Novell does not seem to be able to make
it through the boot process (it locks when starting syslogd, or nearly
thereafter)

Anybody know where I can get a fairly recent SuSE (IA64 capable)
install media?

I'd rather download if I can.
I'm sure I could get the $$, but corporate purchasing takes time and effort.
I'd rather get started now, then perhaps purchase some sort
of (minor) support package and do an upgrade over the net.
