These are only two problems I have had with my Actiontec modem from
Qwest:

1) If I go straight to a configuration dialog box such as port
forwarding or wireless, etc. and make any changes and save the changes
it clears all settings and resets the modem to the factor settings. I
have to use the Setup Wizard and go through every step to make a simple
change like turning on or off the wireless. And even then it doesn't
always save the changes.

2) I have not been able to get it to work with any encryption options
for the wireless. Qwest tech support has been useless on the matter and
told me to call Actiontec (Qwest tech support has been very good
otherwise). I finally decided it really didn't make any difference
because no one lives close enough to me to connect.

Otherwise, the Actiontec has been very reliable, and is easy to
configure for simple networks like I have at home.

Like Don I have notice a lot of fluctuation in speed on my Qwest DSL
circuit. I live in Corrales, and our phone circuit has always been
third-world-like, so I was surprised when the 1.5Mb/s became available
where I live. I ran tests using bandwidthplace.com and found the speed
fluctuated between 800Kb/s and 1400Kb/s with it reporting in the
800Kb/s range most of the time.
