  This is the first thing I've heard of that might make good use of network 
block devices...

  You might be able to get access to your encrypted file via NFS or SMB and 
loop mount that...

  Might be helpful in those instances where users want to store info on the 
network that they don't want the sysadmin to see.  Like CEO's, CFO's and the 
like.  The problem is that while it is mounted, the sysadmin has access to 
it...
