[NMLUG] PC Resurrection with Debian

The desktop is pre-configured with xdm/xfce.  The package is either a livecd
which you can burn to CD and run knoppix-style or you can install the entire
thing to your hard drive using apt-get.

I found it to be a quick and easy way to get a small and relatively fast
desktop running on an older machine.  Fast performance (given the CPU it's
running on) and a small footprint is a nice combo not to mention using
apt-get to install and maintain the whole thing.
