[NMLUG] Debian on Compaq DL580 w/Raid

Anyone have any experience with Compaq (HP)'s raid management? I've
googled for a bit, found and alien(ed) some rpms, but can't convince
this thing that I've hot added two drives to it.

The generic scsi tools don't seem to impress it. The cpqarray module
is loaded, and the system boots and runs off that. Out of four bays,
two were running as a logical mirrored drive, and the other two were
empty.

Well, now we're running low on space, and I thought to add drives to
the empty slot.

Except, there doesn't seem to be a utility I can use to manipulate the
running array from within Debian. I downloaded the rpms for hpacucli,
ran alien and installed the deb, checked dependencies on the main
binary, but the darn thing refuses to accurately look at the array, or
do anything with it.

Ah well, I can just wait until downtime to reboot the thing and fool
with the partition management utility on reboot - but what a waste.
"Hot swap" indeed!
