[NMLUG] Disk-to-disk copying and booting

A RAID array *does* sound like a good idea, doesn't it? In fact, I
suggested it. It may be something I'll end up looking into long-term;
however, management doesn't currently support that option. I'm getting
a "disk-to-disk copies is the way we've always done it; it's the way
we'll continue to do it," answer.

But yes, I would like to implement either a mirrored array (perhaps
with the third disk as an offline backup) or a RAID-5 array with all
three drives.
