[NMLUG] A true IE replacement??

The part that you are missing is that IE is not available for linux. I would
like to put up some linux web browsing kiosks that can also access our
corporate sites that seem to be made for IE only. Absent that compatibility
I am forced to put in WinXP/IE6 workstations and every couple of weeks spend
a day cleaning off spyware that has managed to lodge itself within.

My ideal situation would be to have a pure browsing kiosk with all the needed
plugins and printing capabilities installed. Firefox is the obvious choice
but any browser that can come as close to IE while still running on linux
would be ideal.

I've seen some suggestions to google for firefox activex plugins which have
been developed separately from the firefox project. That will be my next
step.
