[NMLUG] squirrelmail features
I may want to look into this.
squirrel is pretty slow on my P-II/400.

Well, openwebmail is fast, my mailboxes sometimes become as large as 350MB. And I have over 15
mailboxes, so that is quite large. OpenWebmail does a fairly fast search on them and load, but I use
it on my server and access it remotely, if you are talking about hosting it locally, it should fly.
If I understand what you mean about identities, you can have multiple identities, if you want to check
out openwebmail, drop me an email and I can setup a user account for you to walk through. Yes it
does have lots of features, but you can turn any off. I like it cause it is a mail program, an ftp
program, and an ssh program all in one. Oh it also has a calendar and addressbook. The folders are
as you say "vanilla", it works of your home directory and such.
And spamassassin along with procmail is very customizable. Spamassassin uses bayesian learning
and you can set up an auto-whitelist and the like.
