This probably doesn't help, but as one who has set up an online shopping
site... we ended up writing our company's site from scratch (I did the
first version in a few days in Perl, and later me and a sharp Los Alamos
high schooler rewrote it in Python) and have been very satisfied with
the results.  We opted to avoid shopping carts, which we haven't needed
so far.
