I've seen IpCop in action, and it compares well to Smoothwall - and has
the bonus of being community supported and has lot's of little hacks
laying around for it (content filtering, graphs and so on).
IpCop has a more "gpl" feel than Smoothwall does - and occasionally they
beat the Smoothwall devs to a security update or a feature release (like
ext3, iptables, etc).
