[NMLUG] Apache2 + PHP4

  • Subject: [NMLUG] Apache2 + PHP4
  • From: jmdelapp at delapp.com (Mars DeLapp)

I am attempting to set up Apache 2 with PHP4 on a Debian system.

I used apt-get to install apache2 and php4

In apache2.conf I uncommented the lines:

	AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
	AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

I went to enable the php module but the load and conf files do not appear in the
/etc/apache2/mods-available directory.

Looking at the apache web site:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/mod/

Indicates there is no Apache 2 module for PHP4

So how do you get php4 running with Apache2?

Mars
