Yes and no.  There are ways to make the XPs work in an MP setup.

Personally though, the MPs are cheap enough to not bother with the XP hacks
any more.  Not to mention that the Athlon MPs in an SMP setup only have 1
channel of memory to share.  It becomes a pretty big bottle neck if you're
doing mem intesive stuff.

I'd really rather be running a dual Opteron setup, with two channels of ram
per proc.
