I'm surprised it's that short.  I use a router so I haven't actually seen the
lease times but in ABQ long lease times are a given.  In all the years I've
had Comcast cable internet, my IP has never changed.  Well, it's only changed
when  I moved physical locations.  As long as I was still living in my same
home, my IP has remained unchanged.
