I did a quick google and it seems that the linux tax solutions are slim at
best.  Other than paying through the nose for commercial solutions, most
users reported they were using the online versions of Turbo-Tax, TaxAct, and
Yahoo Taxes to file.

I doubt that would suffice for your professional friend/bookkeeper but it
might not hurt to have her give it a try.
