[NMLUG] Got my Novell DVDs today
At least as of SuSE 9.0, the *one* DVD is actually two DVDs because
it's a double sided DVD. I believe the SuSE release just prior to
9.0 actually had two seperate DVDs in addition to the CDs.
I'd have to check to be sure, but I think the second DVD (or second
side in the case of 9.0) contains all the source RPMs and some
additional rarely used RPMs?
I also got the Novell mailing, and used the SuSE 9.1 DVD it includes
to do a complete SuSE 9.1 install last night. I didn't hit on the need
for the second DVD so it appears that the single DVD that Novell has
provided is good for the overwhelming majority of SuSE 9.1 installations.
Then again, maybe 9.1 has changed and even the box set only comes with a
single single-sided DVD (in addition to the CDs) ?
