The 4.X branch is the stable one, Steve. Anything in 5.X before 5.2.1 is
not recommended for a working application server, and even that takes
some learning and pushing and shoving to get right. My experience,
however, is that it WILL be a huge leap forward.
Actually, IMHO, 4.8 is the best version in the -STABLE branch to start
from, then CVSup to the latest mods in -STABLE. 4.9 has some config
changes that are likely to be a surprise.
Of course, dummy me, I gave away all my 4.8 CDs...
