[A friend of mine works for Turbolinux, which has the following open
positions. I hope posting these is acceptable, but, if it's not, please
complain to/about me, as it was my idea to post these here, not my
friends']

Job Title: Product Marketing Analyst
Department: Product Marketing
Supervisor: Product Marketing Manager

This position helps TurboLinux design and produce Linux products.
You will be responsible for a wide range of tactical activities
including Promotional Communication, Internal Communication, Sales
Support, as well as strategic activities such as Market Analysis,
Quantitative Analysis, Strategic Planning.  You will be working with
the Product Marketing Manager of TurboLinux's Workstation and
Server products, also involved in other cutting edge product
development.

Specific Duties Include:

-- Writing Marketing Requirements Documents that collects data
from numerous company and market sources to outline future 
products and list product requirements
-- Coordinating and analysizing 3rd Party software for possible
partnering and inclusion with TurboLinux products
-- Product intranet and extranet maintenance
-- Product Marketing lab setup and utilization for competitive
analysis
-- Customer calls and visits, to asses current and future
requirements for product
-- Beta site coordination

Requirements

-- Ideal candidate has used Unix and/or Linux for two years or
more, has some knowledge or experience in similar markets
-- Extremely detail-oriented, thorough, professional and organized
-- Selt motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, team player
-- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Open Source software,
databases, HTML programming
-- BA level education or highter

Job title:	Web Producer
Department:	Marketing 
Incumbent:	OPEN
Supervisor:	Director of Marketing

Responsibilities: Initially, the Web Producer will be responsible 
for a complete overhaul of the company's web site to support 
organizational business unit objectives. Concurrently, 
creation of blueprints, timelines and detailed project 
plans for new feature sets of the web site will be required. 
The Producer will next coordinate a global consolidation of 
the company's web sites (Japan, China and US/Rest of world). 
Ongoing, the producer will own the web site content, creating 
and managing a process for company business units to maintain 
and add site content. 

Specific duties include:

Engage design, technical and marketing staff (internal 
and external) to define, prioritize and implement all 
elements of the site redesign and global consolidation.
Create detailed blueprints, timelines and project plans 
for new features sets of the web site.  Define and implement 
a process for business units of the company to edit, maintain 
and add content.  Manage outside vendors on the redesign 
and maintenance of the web site.  Coordinate with 
international TurboLinux offices all aspects of company 
web strategy.

Requirements:

Ideal candidate must have at least two years of web 
production experience coordinating design, technical and 
marketing teams, preferably with international experience 
and an understanding of Asian language issues with site design 
and implementation.  Extremely detail-oriented, thorough, 
professional and organized.  Self motivated, energetic, 
enthusiastic, team player.  Strong computer skills with 
knowledge of Unix/Linux, databases, HTML programming 
(job does not require HTML coding skills) BA a must, 
preferably in design or marketing.
